My, this week was busy…with tiredness. I made it to the gym twice 😦 my worst turnout yet since that one week I missed at the beginning of second trimester. My eating wasn’t terrible, which may be my only saving grace.
I had my doctor’s appointment yesterday…the last of the ones 4 weeks apart. Now we are down to 2 weeks between appointments…so here’s the update:
Total weight gain/loss: 12 pounds gained total!
Maternity clothes: Finally caved last week and bought maternity clothes at Motherhood Maternity….twice. Purchased a couple pairs of leggings, shirts, a dress, and some workout clothes. No pants purchased yet…still rocking those pre-pregnancy jeans with a belly band, and cheap maxi dresses.
Stretch marks: Still nothing, although it is easier to see my old stretch marks from when I was a chunker.
Best moment this week: Started the nursery with an IKEA Kallax unit, and purchased some artwork for the house to fill my nesting needs.
Miss anything?: Being able to lie completely flat on my stomach 😥 gosh its hard to be getting comfy these days.
Movement: Lots more than usual, baby is bigger so I feel more of it, more often.
Food cravings: Nothing specific…but I have found the last week or two that I prefer “cold” food like sandwiches or smoothies over cooked food.
Gender: Team Yellow
Belly Button In/Out?: It’s basically a slit right now, like it’s pretty questionable there is a belly button there.
Wedding Rings Fit? Yup still wearing my rings with no trouble 🙂
Workout: I switched up the weight program this week. The program is a full-body 8×8 of 9 exercises…start to end, the lifting takes me 1 hour 15 minutes to finish, and that’s timing my 30 seconds of rest between sets. So cardio is on my days when I don’t lift. I am beyond sore from just two days of the program, and i’m hoping its a nice change for muscle growth from my super heavy lifting for the next 5-6 weeks.
Meal Plan: Still watching calorie consumption…these days I’m ending up around 2200-2300 calories per day on the days I work out, sometimes more sometimes less. I can still see my rear and lateral deltoids when I flex, so I’m happy where I’m at these days.
We finally purchased Baby R’s first outfit (with a plushie) from Carter’s by our house…Cory had to come with me since I just needed the extra push to make a decision. It’s been hard to find something gender neutral that I’ve really liked, but we settled on this giraffe-themed onesie.
I also completed my 1-hour gestational diabetes test this week…after 4 weeks of procrastinating. I must have passed, because I never heard back from the lab. That flat orange pop stuff is gag-worthy…and half an hour after consuming it, I got light-headed and nauseated. I’d forgotten what it’s like to drink pure sugar.
Hitting up the incline treadmill today for some 30 minutes of cardio :D!
Till next week,
