Week 25

I can hardly believe I’m already at 25 weeks pregnant these days! I feel like I’ve had so much more energy in the second trimester, that it went by much quicker than the first. I keep being told it’s the bliss before third trimester…the one feels like it lasts forever.

Total weight gain/loss: 8 pounds gained total!

Maternity clothes: Currently I am still wearing my pre-pregnancy jeans but with belly bands from mom friends. I love tight tanks with kimonos, or maxi dresses πŸ™‚

Stretch marks: Thankfully, none yet!

Best moment this week: We received a ton of second-hand baby stuff from close friends! Won’t be buying anything else till after the showers.

Miss anything?: Mostly just miss being able to run as fast as I can and work myself hard.

Movement: Oh at least 4x a day, especially about 30-60 minutes after meals, and baby is really active right before bed.

Food cravings: Nothing really this week (at least not like my white rice with soy sauce a couple weeks ago).

Gender: Team Yellow πŸ™‚ waiting to be surprised.

Belly Button In/Out?: Does halfway count? It’s looking strange these days, so it must be starting to invert.

Wedding Rings Fit? Yes! Somedays they get a bit tight, but it usually goes away.

Workout: Weights, weights, and more weights. Managing to keep up 4 days/week of weightlifting with a PUSH/PULL/LEGS routine. I was a slug with cardio last week, skipping out everyday except for Saturday when my BFF and I ran stairs downtown for a half hour. It’s Tuesday and I’m still limping.

Meal Plan: Haven’t had much of a plan this week except to watch calories, and try to meet a minimum protein amount. But I picked up protein-rich granola this week with greek yogurt to make it easier for me to eat healthy things in the house.

Mmm, such as this! Strawberries, Protein granola and plain greek yogurt.

Also, in case anyone is wondering, I generally just try to eat as well as I can from Monday to Friday, and then splurge a bit on the weekends…like this eggs benny served on cornbread with back bacon and bechamel ❀ yum!

Not fitness related…but I did actually watch a 6 month old on Thursday last week…for only an hour and a half, but it was still strange and terrifying. How do I talk to this thing? Why is she crying? Is it because she’s hungry? Ok, I gave her the bottle Trisha told me to give her. She’s 3/4 done and she tossed the bottle…does that mean she’s done? Not sure…ok, well now she looks like she drank herself into a coma. So now she’s falling asleep…wait, is this the time you would usually move them to the car seat? Or do you just want the baby to fall completely asleep and then move them….??????????????????
