I ran out of both my protein powders on my days off. I was using Kaizen Whey Isolate in Vanilla Ice Cream and Decadent Chocolate (a Costco brand). They were great for the time I used them, purchased cheap for 5 pounds, and tasted like typical whey.
My only problem I had with them recently is I started going “whey” over my protein intake (get it?) and I was starting to feel 35 g per scoop was a bit much and had started using half scoops. Also, I’m not much for the taste of whey protein and as a rule of thumb I MUST mix it with banana in order to ingest it. So I thought it was time for a change!
Strawberry protein has been on my brain for the last while, but after I asked around to other strawberry users, it seems strawberry is a really hard flavor to get right these days! GNC strawberry protein reviews also didn’t fair well. Well that sucks. Why can’t it just taste like Strawberry Slimfast for crying out loud? (Yes, I’m a sucker for the fake strawberry flavor).
Lo and behold though, I came across this protein powder when I did! There is a Booster Juice connected to my gym, and while I was purchasing I shake, I noticed they sold Booster Juice brand protein powder in three flavors, including “Strawberry Cream”. 118 calories, 25 g of protein, 1.5 g of fat, 1 g carbs per scoop! $35 for approximately 35-36 scoops per bag.
So I purchased it, and have had two shakes already. The flavor is awesome and just a half banana added to a shake is perfect! I found with the 35 g scoops of Kaizen, a half banana wasn’t enough to mask the flavor. Ladies, if you are looking for a new protein powder lower in calorie and protein, pick some of this up for yourselves 🙂 BTW I am not a Booster Juice rep.
Have a nice day!
