It’s been a nice two-week break from INSANITY since finishing round 1…I wasn’t as lost as I thought I was going to be in the hiatus with working out.
I made a lot of independent progress with creating my own circuit work-outs with a medicine ball, and weights. I did a 6 on 1 off weight training program for those two weeks as well, hit the treadmill and elliptical a few times, and even ran 5km for the first time in 5 years…two days in a row 😀
I have to say I did miss it. I think I miss making noticeable progress cardio-wise two weeks at a time. I’ve gained so much confidence just from being able to see what my body can do, that it’s nice to not dread a workout but instead count the minutes till meeting it’s challenges head on.
My new challenge with the round 2 will be to do the whole program without any missed days, and with all the Fit Tests included. I chose to opt out of the Fit Tests for the first round because I knew it would discourage me to see how low my numbers were. After that first workout, I knew my only challenge would be to just finish the program without dying. So this round, I will follow the program to a T…with all fit tests included.
I will also try to supplement this workout with weights 3-4 days per week, as I find that lifting prevents my weight loss from being stalled.
Tomorrow is the Fit Test only, and I’m a little pumped to see what my first numbers are…and I’ll post them tomorrow. Oh and if you are a beachbody coach…I’m quite alright and do not need to be recruited, but thank you.
